Music Game Authors is partners with www.newenglandmusicsupply.com and they are also our first advertisor. NEMS is doing a Twitter promotion today to gain more followers. When they reach 100, 200, and 300 followers, they will give away PSN and/or MS points cards. Following NEMS is a good idea if you are into Rock Band at all. Melodic Hard rock band Cold Steel from Nebraska coming to the rockband network! Music Game Authors was contacted by these guys and they were quick to give us a their tracks so we could listen to them and man we were blown away! 4 young guys (14 to 18) who play hard rock with a melodic vibe with a musicianship far beyond their years (musicianship truely knows no age restrictions). These guys gig live alot and put forth a heart pounding show. We are proud to be involved with them and are sure their tracks will amaze and delight all rockband gamers. Music Game Authors has signed two more groups! The first is guitarist Ricky Graham. Ricky is an extremely talented musician with a wide variety of music, from relaxing ambient music to powerful progressive. We will be initially bringing two of his songs to Rock Band. The second is indie rock band Corporation One. They are a brand new band from England with a great, unique sound. We will be charting their three demo songs.

Also, a note about the previously mentioned Live Chat with The Motion Sick (Sunday, November 22nd at 8pm Eastern). To find the chat rooms for this event, simply go to the Forums, register an account, login with your new account, and find the Chat Rooms button on the horizontal forums menu. Hope to see you there!

Music Game Authors will be having another Live Chat, this time with The Motion Sick. This event will be on Sunday, November 22nd at 8pm Eastern. You will be able to talk directly with the band and ask them questions. MGA Crew members will also be around for any questions relating to The Motion Sick, Rock Band Network, or MGA. In addition to this, an early preview video of "30 Lives" is available here. Please keep in mind that this is not the final version.

Music Game Authors has instituted a Live Chat series with our bands as part of our committment to advertising any band we are charting music for the Rock Band Network. Our first live chat will be with: Spock's Beard. This Saturday Sept. 12th 2009 at 5pm eastern. Meet the Band, learn about their new upcoming album, and what they think about the Rock Band Network. Music Game Authors has had a busy past week listening to music from several new bands and is proud to announce coming to the Rock Band Network these bands: Zappats, a Swedish Metal band.. The Motion Sick a socially aware, DIY, indie rock band with a focus on dynamic, diverse music, energetic live shows, and insightful lyrics. Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling comprised of Sophia Cacciola (drums, vocals -formerly of Blitzkriegbliss!) and Michael Epstein (bass - current frontman of The Motion Sick). Once again we were highly impressed by all these bands tracks and each one is having us chart at least 4 songs to start with. Music Game Authors signs another Canadian hard rock band Foot Soldier Their CD Free to Wait is an awesome set of tracks that hit hard and leave ya wanting more, more, more. Music Game Authors signs 3 new bands! FOLEY, Chris Colepaugh and the Cosmic Crew and The Joel Plaskett Emergency

Chris Colepaugh and The Joel Plaskett Emergency are 2 bands that hail from Canada and both have some seriously good tracks that we will be authoring for play in the RBN.

FOLEY is out of South Dakota and is a hard working, hard rocking band and their tracks will be another great asset to any Rock Band Gamer.  We want to take a moment to welcome these awesome bands to Music Game Authors!

We have 4 other bands who are currently in the process of of getting us their demo tracks and look forward to letting you know all about them as well. MGA has been blessed so far with the extreme quality of bands that are choosing to come our way and look forward to getting these band's music into the hands of Rock Band® gamers everywhere.

Music Game Authors has signed yet  another band to chart their music for play within the Rock Band 2® video game thru the Rock Band Netowrk from the metal section of Texas. VENTURE! Their music has been licensed for air on the popular show The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). They have toured with Van's Warped tour and Motley Crue This Metal band is one of those that comes out of nowhere and hits you right in the face and leave you smiling from ear to ear. Their lyrics and melodies are well thought out, their music hard, driving and passionate. Music Game Authors wants to extend a special welcome to VENTURE to our little venture..

Music Game Authors has signed another band this time it is WatchTower an exciting Progressive Thrash Band.
WATCHTOWER was formed in Austin, TX by guitarist Billy White and drummer Rick Colaluca, along with guitarist-turned-bassist, Doug Keyser, in May of 1982. The three find singer/bassist, Jason McMaster, when Jason meets Billy through an ad at a music store in South Austin. The band start to do parties and small shows around the Austin area, playing the odd Rush song and their favorite metal covers while building some original material that is equally influenced by prog luminaries such as Rush, UK and King Crimson and the burgeoning New Wave Of British Heavy Metal and its more extreme outgrowths in the form of bands like Raven as well as German counterparts Accept.

The Site Formerly Known as Rock Band Create
We are no longer Rock Band Create due to the fact MTV Networks got upset with us using the domain rockbandcreate.com. Seems they feel it infringes on their domain and copyright and would cause confusion in users, making them think we are somehow a part of Harmonix/ MTV Networks and in FULL compliance with their wishes I have taken down rockbandcreate.com and have signed over the domain(s) to MTV Networks.

We are now MusicGameAuthors.Com and to be clear "we are in NO way affliated with, a part of, employees of, contractors for: Harmonix or MTV Networks or their subsidiaries." We are an Independent, 3rd Party Publishing and music game authoring company who will be publishing Rock Band charts thru the Rock Band Network as anyone can.

Just got off the phone with Jeff Marshall from Harmonix and had quite the conversation with him.

Mainly he wanted to let me know there is some misconception about the "training" that has been touted about on the billboard and other web site articles.

Music Uploads and Masters Security

We are using our File: Maestro System (proprietary) so bands and labels can securely upload their demo tracks to us before we accept a project and will be using the same File: Maestro Application to also allow us to secure your master recordings (stems) on our server along with all other files created that relate to the final project files before uploading to XNA Creators Club keeping your files from getting out into the wild.
 

Talk To Us!

We've got our Music Game Authors general contact form as well as band applications and record label applications already up where interested bands, artists, labels, record companies can submit their information for intial review. Once we have your application we will generate a project account on our File: Maestro System and provide you with login details so that you can upload your demo tracks which we will then have our team review. IF accepted we will contact you with the next step and offer several options in creating your unique package for working with us in getting your DLC and your name Promoted.
